How to read this data
Companies — the number of distinct employers that received at least one ghost job report or interview review this month. A higher number suggests the issue is spread across the market, not concentrated at a single employer.
Ghost Jobs — total job listings flagged by the community as potentially fake or stale. These are positions that appear active but where the company shows no real hiring intent: no response, no interview, or positions kept open indefinitely.
Reviews — detailed candidate accounts of their interview experience at these companies. Reviews include ratings, pros and cons, and help other candidates gauge employer transparency before applying.
Average Rating — the mean score given by candidates (1-5 scale). A score below 3 signals systemic issues with how a company treats applicants. This metric averages across all companies reported this month.
Most Affected Role — the job title with the highest number of ghost job reports. This shows which positions are most commonly advertised without genuine hiring intent.
Top Ghoster — the company with the most reports this month. This does not prove bad intent — it may reflect company size or visibility — but consistent presence across months is a strong signal.
